MCU Mass Communication Students Visit Newspaper Printing Press

CNN Central News & Network – ITDC India Express / ITDC News Bhopal: Students from the Mass Communication Department of Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication undertook an educational visit to the printing press located in Govindpura, Bhopal.

The purpose of the visit was to familiarize students with the modern and advanced technology used in journalism and newspaper production. The visit was led by Department Coordinator Pradeep Daheriyia, with printing plant officials guiding students through the various stages of the printing process.

Students observed the practical transformation of a PDF file into a printed newspaper and learned about the latest innovations and daily advancements in the field. For the students, understanding the entire journey of a newspaper from printing to reaching readers was an eye-opening experience. Their curiosity and eagerness throughout the visit were noteworthy, making the experience unique and memorable.

This knowledge will undoubtedly help journalism students enhance their skills and expertise in the future.

Before the visit, students observed two minutes of silence to pay tribute to the victims of the Bhopal Gas Tragedy. Around 100 undergraduate and postgraduate students completed the visit in four disciplined shifts, accompanied by Babita Ghosh and other faculty members of the Mass Communication Department.
