CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The annual festival Pratibha-2026 at Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication (MCU) is underway with great enthusiasm. At the university campus in Bishankhedi, students showcased their creative talents and skills through a variety of competitions.

Competitions for solo acting and solo singing (Indian genre) were held. In the solo acting contest, 28 participants delivered outstanding performances on various social, cultural, and contemporary themes. Their impactful acting impressed both the audience and the judges, earning them loud applause.

In the solo singing competition, students performed non-film songs, ghazals, and other traditional pieces. The participants’ melodious voices and expressive performances captivated the listeners. The audience present at the event appreciated all performances and encouraged the participants enthusiastically.

Additionally, a quiz competition was held at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, where students actively participated in teams, demonstrating their knowledge and quick decision-making abilities. An essay competition was also conducted, in which students presented their ideas on diverse topics.

Under the ongoing Pratibha-2026 festival, upcoming events on 19th March will include solo instrumental, solo singing (Western genre), and solo dance competitions. This festival provides students with an important platform to hone their talents, showcase their skills, and gain recognition.
