CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal : The inauguration ceremony of the academic session 2025-2026 at Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication (MCU), Bhopal, titled ‘Abhyuday’, will be held on 20th, 21st, and 22nd August. During these three days, various sessions will feature prominent personalities from media, journalism, literature, PR, advertising, cinema, media technology, media management, law, and culture. A highlight of the event will be the unveiling of the 12-foot statue of Dada Makhanlal Chaturvedi on campus by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and renowned poet Dr. Kumar Vishwas. Guests will also participate in tree plantation activities on campus. Dr. Kumar Vishwas will deliver a talk on ‘Communication in the Ramayana’.
On the first day, during the technical session, time management expert Vijay Agrawal will speak on ‘Time Management for Excellence’. Sudeep Sohni will discuss ‘Independent Filmmaking’, while renowned columnist and author N. Raghuraman will give a lecture on ‘Soft Skills’. Ashish Kulkarni will deliver a session on ‘AI-Influenced Media Technology’.
On the second day, 21st August, eminent journalist and author Yashwant Vyas will speak on ‘The Future of Media’. This will be followed by a session on ‘Voice and Communication Skills’ by famous radio announcer Kamal Sharma and art critic Vinay Upadhyay. Senior cultural scholar and academician Sachchidanand Joshi will share his insights on ‘Journalism, Literature, and Culture’, followed by a lecture on advertising and public relations by expert Sameer Kapoor.
On the final day, 22nd August, senior journalist Anant Vijay will speak on ‘Film Review’, and filmmaker and writer Vipul K. Rawal will present ‘New Dimensions in Film Writing’. Chirag Jain will discuss ‘New Dimensions in Computing’, and Shikha Chhibber will address ‘Nuances of Media Law’.
The concluding session will feature a dialogue on ‘Electronic Media in the Digital Era’ with senior journalists Brijesh Singh and Balakrishna. In each session, former MCU alumnae working in senior positions across media, journalism, and communication fields will also share their experiences with students.
