CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: “Vice-Chancellor of Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication, K.G. Suresh, has been invited as a speaker at the prestigious Mumbai International Film Festival (MIFF). Prof. Suresh, who has been honored with several major awards including the Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi National Journalism Award, has been invited to this esteemed event for the second consecutive time. He will speak about documentaries on OTT platforms, along with acclaimed filmmakers such as Padma Shri awardees Shaji N. Karun and S. Nallamuthu.

This festival is organized by the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC), the apex body for film making in India, in collaboration with the Indian Documentary Producers’ Association under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India.

Suresh expressed his happiness, stating, “I am pleased to represent MCU and Madhya Pradesh at the oldest and largest film festival dedicated to documentaries, short stories, and animated films in South Asia.” Suresh is credited with starting the Department of Cinema Studies at MCU and organizing the prestigious Chitra Bharati National Short Film Festival at the university. He has also served on the jury of the prestigious Indian International Film Festival and chaired the North India Jury of the Indian Panorama section. Suresh has been a member of the Governing Body and Society of the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune, and the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute, Kolkata. He is currently on the Governing Board of Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts, Rohtak, Haryana.”
