CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: As part of the press tour organized by the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, a delegation of journalists from Bhopal visited the Panchakarma Super Speciality and Wellness Center at Pt. Khushilal Sharma Ayurvedic College. On this occasion, the college principal, Umesh Shukla, briefed the journalists about the center’s special features and the available facilities. He stated that this is the first super speciality Panchakarma and wellness center in the state, established in a natural setting to provide health benefits through Ayurveda to tourists and the general public.
The center offers Nadi Parikshan (pulse diagnosis), various Panchakarma therapies, yoga practices, and modern diagnostic facilities. Under an MoU with Madhya Pradesh Tourism Corporation, Ayurvedic diet, hygiene maintenance, and environmental cleanliness have also been ensured.
Arun Kumar Singh, Assistant Director of PIB Delhi, shared the key achievements of the Ministry of AYUSH, while Rajeev Mishra, State Program Manager of the National AYUSH Mission, informed that several initiatives are underway to expand AYUSH services in the state. These include the establishment of 23 AYUSH hospitals, 1,773 dispensaries, and AYUSH wings in numerous health centers. Additionally, 800 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs are providing integrated health services across the region.
