CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Journalists Visit Prayagraj Junction on the Final Day of PIB Bhopal’s Media Tour
On the third and final day of the Prayagraj Media Tour, organized by PIB Bhopal, a team of journalists visited Prayagraj’s main junction station. During the tour, the media delegation was briefed on train arrivals and departures, control room operations, and overall railway activities.
Dr. Amit Malviya, Senior Public Relations Officer of Prayagraj Junction, informed the journalists that during the fair period, around 340 trains are operated daily, managed by approximately 17,000 railway employees to ensure the safe and smooth transportation of all passengers.
The media team learned that on Mauni Amavasya, the station handled an influx of 500 passengers per minute, amounting to millions of travelers. Even on regular days, around 200 passengers per minute commute through Allahabad Station, which is part of a network of nine railway stations in the city, with Prayagraj Junction being the primary hub.
Dr. Malviya further explained that through the Railway Fair Control Tower, officials continuously monitor the operation of all stations, passenger movement, and overall station management to ensure a seamless and hassle-free experience for travelers. The media delegation was also given a detailed tour of the Fair Control Tower and other railway operations. A dedicated Q&A session was conducted where the Public Relations Officer addressed the journalists’ queries.
A Well-Organized Three-Day Media Tour
Throughout the three-day media tour, the journalists were given structured and in-depth insights into the fair activities, allowing them to observe and understand various aspects of the event.
At the conclusion of the tour, the journalists departed from Prayagraj to Bhopal. At Prayagraj Airport, the media team was bid farewell by Dilip Shukla, Director of PIB Lucknow, Media & Communication Officer Sundaram Chaurasia, and their team. Other officials and staff members from the Central Bureau of Communication and Press Information Office were also present at the farewell ceremony.
