CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: MediaTek has collaborated with ThinkStartup to launch “Future Minds: Powering the Disruptors of Tomorrow,” a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative aimed at equipping 6,000 students from underprivileged backgrounds with entrepreneurial skills. Announced at the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2026, the year-long digital education programme will reach students across 30 states in India.

The initiative is designed for students studying in Classes 8 to 12 and will be implemented through government schools and foundation-supported educational communities. These include Eklavya Model Residential Schools, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas and PM Shri Schools. The programme is powered by ThinkStartup and the Management & Entrepreneurship and Professional Skills Council (MEPSC).

The curriculum will cover idea generation, business fundamentals and financial concepts, helping students understand how to develop and assess entrepreneurial ideas. Participants will also have access to live masterclasses conducted by founders who are alumni of the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), a guided TS Idea Lab and monthly pitch sessions to develop and present their concepts.

Anku Jain, Managing Director of MediaTek India, said the initiative aims to provide young people from underserved communities with the tools to turn their ideas into potential ventures. ThinkStartup co-founder Sanjeeva Shivesh described entrepreneurship as an essential life skill and highlighted the programme’s focus on practical learning and mentorship.

The initiative is scheduled to culminate in a national showcase of student-led entrepreneurial ventures in May 2027, coinciding with MediaTek’s 30th anniversary globally. The programme aims to expand access to entrepreneurship education and encourage young people to explore innovation, problem-solving and business creation.
