CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A special lecture on “Medico-Legal Interpretation of Injury in View of Court” was organized at LNCT University. The program was chaired by Mukesh Kumar Sahu (Dean & Director, School of Legal Studies) and the invited guest was Professor R. K. Chaurasia (Principal, School of Paramedical, LNCT University).
The event began with a lamp-lighting ceremony and Saraswati Vandana, followed by a welcome of the keynote speaker Dr. D. K. Satpathy (Forensic Expert & Head of Dean Students’ Welfare, LNCT University) with a bouquet and memento.
As the subject expert, Dr. D. K. Satpathy guided the students and practically presented the legal aspects of postmortem reports. He explained in detail the types of physical injuries, the weapons used to inflict them, and the importance of medical jurisprudence in court proceedings. He further elaborated on how medico-legal evidence is presented, its contribution to advocacy, and the manner in which courts accept medical testimony.
Faculty members, staff, and students of the School of Legal Studies were present during the program. The event’s success was attributed to the significant efforts of Karan Tiwari, Namika Dubey, and Snigdha Saraiya. On the successful conduct of the program, congratulations were extended by Anupam Chouksey (Secretary, LNCT Group), Dharmendra Gupta (Executive Director), Vice Chancellor, and Registrar, along with other dignitaries.
