CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: At Shri Saty Sai Women’s College, Bhopal, which has been awarded an A+ grade by NAAC, the Department of Psychology and Indian Knowledge Tradition organized a special lecture on ‘Mental Health Awareness’. The session was delivered by the expert Mrs. Rupali Purohit.

The guest was welcomed by the Director of the College, Dr. Pratibha Singh, with a presentation of a sapling.

In her welcome address, Principal Dr. Archana Srivastava stated that the lecture is extremely important and relevant in today’s context, where young people are increasingly facing despair and frustration, and sometimes take wrong steps in life due to minor failures.

Director Dr. Pratibha Singh highlighted that Shri Saty Sai Women’s College is empowering students through high-quality, value-based education, promoting their holistic development. She added that the college was established under Baba’s vision to advance women’s education and upliftment, from which students are benefiting significantly.

In her lecture, Rupali Purohit explained that life is full of challenges and stress is a major cause of depression. Mental depression leads to several problems in life, and addressing it is crucial. She emphasized that while life has many ups and downs, solutions to problems are possible. She encouraged collective support, understanding symptoms in affected individuals, and helping them regain balance. Using a PowerPoint presentation, she highlighted key points, stating that a healthy mind resides in a healthy body, and stressed the importance of sharing thoughts and striving for happiness.

The program was attended by Law Principal Dr. Anju Bajpai, Vice Principal Dr. Renu Mishra, along with Jyoti Bharti from the Psychology Department, Dr. Kiran Shandilya and Dr. Geeta Gupta from the Indian Knowledge Tradition Department, other faculty members, and students.

The program was successfully conducted by Ms. Roshni Sharma.
