CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Deputy Chief Minister Jagdish Devda inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for various development works worth approximately ₹11 crore in Village Ranakheda, located in the Malhargarh Assembly constituency of Mandsaur district. The Deputy Chief Minister inaugurated the programme with Kanya Pujan.
Addressing the gathering, Deputy Chief Minister Devda said that within the coming year, irrigation water will reach every farm through the Malhargarh Micro Irrigation Project. This will also provide relief to farmers from electricity-related problems, as water from the Chambal River will directly reach their fields. He said that the late Atal Bihari Vajpayee had envisioned linking rivers so that no region remains drought-prone and natural floods can also be controlled. Work under the River Linking Project is being carried out rapidly across the country. He added that benefits of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi are reaching all eligible farmers, and the government has provided housing to the poor to ensure them a dignified life.
Deputy Chief Minister Devda laid the foundation stone for the Lodh to Bhukhi Buzurg via Bardiyafanta road at a cost of ₹2.78 crore, and inaugurated the Lachhakhedi to Ishakpura–Banskhedi Fanta approach road (via Rathana) built at a cost of ₹6.64 crore. He also inaugurated the Rupawali to Bhatana road constructed at a cost of ₹91.13 lakh. In addition, the Ayushman Arogya Mandir, Paldi, built at a cost of ₹65 lakh, was also inaugurated. He further inaugurated Anganwadi buildings in Villages Kamalpura, Bilatri, and Ranakheda, and laid the foundation stone for a Mangalik Bhavan in Gram Panchayat Bilatri.
Deputy Chief Minister Devda appealed to citizens to make maximum use of indigenous products, take responsibility for their villages, focus on cleanliness, and encourage children to pursue quality education. He said that a vast network of roads has been developed across Madhya Pradesh and more than 20 medical colleges have been started. All necessary facilities have been arranged in schools. On this occasion, the Janpad President, other public representatives, and a large number of villagers were present.
