CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Mid-Career Training (MCT) Phase III “Management Module” was organized by the Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM), Bhopal, in collaboration with the Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy (IGNFA), Dehradun, from June 18 to 22.

The training program saw the participation of 58 IFS officers from across the country. The inaugural ceremony was attended by Mr. Aseem Srivastava, PCCF & HoFF, Madhya Pradesh (Chief Guest); Dr. K. Ravichandran, Director, IIFM; Kunal Angrish, Course Director, IGNFA; Dr. C.P. Kala, Course Director, IIFM; and Manmohan Yadav, Dean, IIFM.

In his inaugural speech, Aseem Srivastava, PCCF & HoFF (MP), discussed the various biodiversity management and conservation models developed by the Madhya Pradesh Forest Department. Similarly, IIFM Director K. Ravichandran highlighted the importance of this module, which is designed to enhance the managerial skills of the officers and empower them with the knowledge and competencies necessary for effective forest management.

The week-long program included sessions conducted by distinguished experts covering topics such as strategic management, financial management, business communication, interpersonal skills and team building, emotional intelligence and strategic workplace communication, “FACT” – new answers through creative reconsideration, protected area management and voluntary village relocation, digital technology and resource management, and positivity for leaders.
