Recently, Vivek Sagar delivered an outstanding performance in the Hockey Asia Cup 2025 held at Rajgir (Bihar), where he not only played a crucial role in securing India’s victory but also showcased his sporting skills and leadership throughout the tournament.

Minister Sarang said that because of players like Vivek Sagar, Madhya Pradesh’s sports identity is being recognized not only across the country but also on the international stage. He added that Vivek Sagar’s performance throughout the tournament, including the final match held in Rajgir, was exceptional. With his passion and determination, he has made India proud. It is a matter of pride that such stars are emerging from the soil of Madhya Pradesh, shining their talent across the world.

Notably, in the Asia Cup 2025 final played at Rajgir, the Indian hockey team defeated South Korea 4–1 to win the Asia Cup title for the fourth time. With this historic victory, the Indian team has also qualified for the upcoming Hockey World Cup.
Minister Sarang congratulated the captain, coach, and all the players of the Indian team on this achievement, expressing confidence that the winning streak of Indian hockey will continue uninterrupted and that Indian hockey will reach new heights.
