A minor allegedly staged his own kidnapping to force his family to fulfil his insistence on buying a car. He had left home to go for tuition, but later sent a message to his father demanding Rs 5 lakh. After receiving the message, panic spread through the family and relatives became worried as they searched for him.
According to information, the minor wanted to buy a car and had been insisting on it with his family. When the demand was not met, he allegedly prepared a kidnapping story. After leaving home for tuition, he sent a message to his father demanding Rs 5 lakh. The message made it appear that someone had abducted him.
It later emerged in the case that the kidnapping was not real, but had been staged by the minor himself. He took the step to get his wish of buying a car fulfilled.
