CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the Slum Rehabilitation Program aimed at providing permanent housing to people and making Bhopal slum-free, several misleading pieces of information have also been spread to misguide the public.

Residents of Bhim Nagar, located in the South-West Assembly constituency, visited the daily Jan Darshan (public hearing) at the office of their MLA, Bhagwandas Sabanani, to raise their concerns. Taking their issues seriously, MLA Sabanani invited all residents to a meeting at his residence.

The meeting was attended by Collector Kaushalendra Vikram Singh, SDM TT Nagar Archana Sharma, and several other officials. During the meeting, residents voiced their concerns regarding the demolition of slums in Bhim Nagar. MLA Sabanani addressed the issues point by point and directed officials to resolve them.

Key resolutions included:

Providing alternative housing within a one-kilometer radius due to the dense population of the area.

Ensuring shop owners are provided alternative commercial spaces.

Preserving temples located in the area.

Allocating separate housing for families where children are married and require separate accommodations.

The Collector was made aware of other community concerns and was requested to resolve them with a humane approach. Collector Kaushalendra Vikram Singh assured that any implementation of this plan would be carried out in consultation with the MLA to ensure proper planning.

The daily Jan Darshan program at the MLA’s office was attended by a large number of local citizens, along with special attendees such as Mayor’s Council Member R.K. Singh Baghel, Zone President and Councilor Brijula Sachan, and BJP District Vice President Shankar Makoria.
