CNN Central News & Network – ITDC India Epress / ITDC News Bhopal: The exhibition of Alphonso (Hapus) and other mangoes was inaugurated by BJP State General Secretary and MLA Bhagwandas Sabanani at the Datta Mandir premises, Arera Colony. The event was organized by Bharat Sathe and Jyoti Sathe, who welcomed MLA Sabanani. The exhibition showcases mango varieties from Ratnagiri, Devgad, Konkan, and more.

MLA Sabanani also offered prayers at the temple and interacted with farmers from Maharashtra, learning about the unique features of the mangoes. On the occasion, Sabanani said, “Mango is the king of fruits, and today its fragrance is captivating. Along with being the king of fruits, it also possesses many qualities. I appeal to all Bhopal residents to visit this exhibition.” He also tasted the Alphonso mango.

Notably, Alphonso mangoes are primarily grown in the Konkan region of Maharashtra and have received a GI (Geographical Indication) tag. There is a high demand for Hapus mangoes not only in India but also in countries like the USA, Japan, Sweden, Dubai, and across Europe. This exhibition has been organized in Bhopal for the past two years by Bharat Sathe and Jyoti Sathe. A large number of mango lovers attended the event.
