CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: MLA Sabanani and Mayor Malti Rai Inaugurate ₹12 Crore Sewage Network Project Under AMRUT 2.0
Under the AMRUT 2.0 scheme, MLA Bhagwandas Sabanani and Mayor Malti Rai inaugurated the sewage network construction project in various areas of Ward 26, located in the South-West Assembly constituency. The project is being established with an estimated cost of ₹12 crore.
Addressing the public, MLA Sabanani emphasized that both the central and state governments are committed to enhancing public welfare and development. He stated that regardless of the issue’s scale, continuous planning and execution are being carried out, and many projects are being inaugurated regularly. He highlighted AMRUT 2.0 as a major scheme and expressed pride in initiating its implementation.
Mayor Malti Rai, the first woman mayor of the city, is also taking special care to ensure that no development efforts are overlooked. The city is undergoing continuous development through numerous schemes. In the constituency, several major projects are being prepared that will not only enhance the area’s beauty but also ease transportation difficulties.
Under the ambitious AMRUT 2.0 mission of the Government of India, the sewage project in Ward 26 has been approved, aiming to resolve sewage issues in the area and improve sanitation. Mayor Rai shared that approximately 25 kilometers of 400mm diameter sewage pipelines will be laid in areas including Suraj Nagar, Sevaniya Gaud, Bisonkhedi, and Gauragaon. About 2,756 homes will be connected to this network, benefiting a population of nearly 15,000. The project will eliminate issues like sewage overflow on roads and groundwater pollution.
The event witnessed the presence of several notable figures, including Mayor-in-Council member Jagdish Yadav, senior leader Gorelal Badgaiya, Mandal Presidents Hemant Badgaiya, Paras Narwaria, Mukesh Dehade, senior BJP leader Leelendra Maran, Assembly in-charge Raju Aneja, Rakesh Jain, Ashutosh Tiwari, Shailendra Nigam, Jai Singh Maran, Roop Singh Maran, Pankaj Tripathi, Ranjeet Patel, and Rajendra Rathore, among others, along with a large number of local residents.
