CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Akashvani Cleanliness Campaign Under the “Swachhata Hi Seva” campaign 2024, initiated by Prasar Bharati, Akashvani Bhopal organized a cleanliness drive at the public park in Kotra Sultanabad, South-West Assembly constituency. The drive, based on the theme “Swachhata Hi Seva,” began at 8:30 AM on Thursday. Bharatiya Janata Party’s State General Secretary and MLA Bhagwandas Sabnani participated as the chief guest in this Shramdaan (voluntary labor) program.
Director Sabnani stated that, under the call of the Honorable Prime Minister, the entire nation has joined hands for the “Swachhata Hi Seva” campaign. Marking the Prime Minister’s birthday, a special health and cleanliness drive was launched, which saw widespread participation. Sabnani emphasized that children today exhibit more awareness about cleanliness than adults, serving as an inspiration to everyone. He appealed to all to ensure their responsibility towards cleanliness and contribute to making their city beautiful.
The event was part of Akashvani’s external activities under the “Swachhata Hi Seva” campaign. Employees from Akashvani, the Municipal Corporation, and local residents actively participated in the cleanliness drive. Key attendees included Rajesh Bhatt, Program Head of Akashvani Bhopal; V.C. Saxena, Assistant Director of Engineering; K.P. Singh, Program Officer; and several other officials and staff members. Local leaders such as Dimple Srivastava, President of Karunadham Mandal (BJP); Mahesh Raghuvanshi; Vikas Yadav; Santosh Brahmbhatt; Dinesh Bharti; Nandu Talkar; Ramneta Singh; Ravi Sahu, and many regional citizens were also present in large numbers.
