CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Bhopal: Under MLA Trophy 2026 of the South West Assembly constituency, organiser Navprayas Cultural and Social Development Committee, Bhopal, is conducting a tennis-ball night cricket tournament at Nehru Nagar Police Ground till June 9.
Four matches were played on the opening day.
In the show match, Journalists 11 faced Doctors 11. The captain of Journalists 11 was Mrigendra Singh, while Doctors 11 was led by Dr Shailesh Lunawat. Batting first, Journalists 11 scored 88 runs in 9.4 overs. Doctors 11 won the match after scoring 92 runs in 9.2 overs. Dr Diwan was named Man of the Match.
In the first match, Kodand 11 took on OP Royals. Kodand 11 was captained by Chetan Pathak, while OP Royals was led by Ajay. OP Royals batted first and made 92 runs for 4 wickets in 8 overs. In reply, Kodand 11 scored 97 runs for 4 wickets in 6.3 overs to win by 4 wickets. Sandeep Singh of Kodand 11 was declared Man of the Match.
The second match was played between Engineers 11 and Saur Sapata. Engineers 11 batted first and scored 93 runs for 5 wickets in 8 overs. Saur Sapata managed 74 runs for 4 wickets in 8 overs. Engineers 11 won by 19 runs. Aditya Patel of Engineers 11 was named Man of the Match.
In the third match, Buchke Construction faced Skritav Group. Buchke Construction was captained by Anurag Buchke, while Skritav Group was led by Kuberlal. Batting first, Buchke Construction piled up 230 runs in 8 overs. Skritav Group could score only 28 runs for 7 wickets in 8 overs. Buchke Construction won by 203 runs. Piyush of Buchke Construction was adjudged Man of the Match.
