CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress / ITDC News Bhopal: Under the patronage of MLA and the patron of Navprayas Cultural and Social Development Committee, Bhagwandas Sabnani, it was informed that the MLA Trophy Night Cricket Tennis Ball Tournament 2026 will be organized from June 1 to June 9 at the Nehru Nagar Police Sports Ground in the South-West Assembly constituency.
Bhagwandas Sabnani stated that the main objective of the tournament is to encourage players from the South-West Assembly constituency. He said that athletes from various sports reside in the constituency, and the aim is to motivate them from time to time, prepare them for larger events, ensure their facilities, and connect them with government schemes to support them in every possible way.
The objective is also to promote a sports culture in the region. In the coming time, sports and cultural competitions for women will also be organized.
A total of 32 teams are participating in the tournament. Each team will consist of 9 players from the South-West Assembly constituency and 3 players from other regions.
The matches will follow a knockout format of 8 overs, while the semi-finals and final will be played as 10-over matches.
The entry fee for the tournament has been fixed at ₹5100. The first prize is ₹1,01,000, the second prize is ₹51,000, along with several other awards.
Special Matches
Three special matches are also being organized. On the opening occasion, a show match will be played between journalists vs doctors, along with police vs lawyers, and one special match will also be organized for women.
