CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Regional Science Centre, Bhopal (a unit of the National Council of Science Museums) has been working for years to take science to the masses. The true utility of science remains incomplete until it reaches every section of society in a simple and accessible way. With this objective, the Mobile Science Exhibition (MSE) is conducted.

The greatest feature of MSE is that it is “Science on Wheels” – a moving exhibition bus equipped with various interactive exhibits related to science and technology. It also includes science exhibitions and hands-on experimental activities, giving students an opportunity not only to observe but also to practically understand and learn.

The Mobile Science Exhibition bus, based on the theme “How Things Work?”, departed for Dewas district. The journey was flagged off by Prof. Manish Bhargava, Project Director, Siemens Centre of Excellence, NITTTR (National Institute of Technical Teachers’ Training and Research), Bhopal. This initiative is being carried out in collaboration with the State Education Centre, School Education Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh.

In the academic year 2025–26, the bus will travel through the districts of Dewas, Ujjain, and Ratlam. Through this exhibition, students and youth will get the chance to learn about the science behind everyday objects – for example, how a four-stroke engine works or how a clutch functions. Students will be able to understand these mechanisms in an engaging and simplified manner.

This initiative aims to take science beyond classroom walls into villages, inspiring the new generation to adopt a scientific outlook.
