CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Schemes worth ₹5,960 crore have been approved to promote the state’s all-round development, public welfare and cultural pride.

The Council of Ministers headed by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav decided to continue the Chief Minister Kanya Vivah and Kalyani Vivah Sahayata Yojana from 2026 for the next five years. An amount of ₹1,740 crore 57 lakh has been approved for this.

In-principle approval was given to upgrade 225 government middle schools to high schools and 300 high schools to higher secondary schools.

New conditions were approved in the interest of farmers under the short-term crop loan scheme at zero percent interest rate.

Approval was granted to start a new government law college at Shujalpur in Shajapur district.

An amount of ₹3,580 crore 7 lakh was approved for transportation and commission expenditure under the targeted public distribution system.

A decision was taken to provide the state share for electrification works in tribal areas under PM JANMAN and the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan.

Various proposals were approved to accelerate education, women’s empowerment, farmer welfare and pro-poor schemes.
