Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav formally inaugurated the State-Level Women’s Mock Parliament by lighting the ceremonial lamp at the People’s College Auditorium, located in Bhanpur, Bhopal.

The purpose of this special event was to promote awareness, participation, and leadership skills among young women and girls in democratic processes.

Participants, comprising students and young women from various districts across the state, actively engaged in understanding legislative procedures and presented their views in a parliamentary format. The women participants took part in debates and discussions on critical social issues such as education, healthcare, women’s safety, economic self-reliance, and gender equality.

In his address, CM Mohan Yadav stated that women’s political participation is the foundation of a strong democracy. He emphasized that mock parliaments like this inspire women to take on leadership roles and provide them with a platform to develop decision-making skills.

He appreciated the enthusiasm of all participants and expressed hope that these young women would play a significant role in shaping society in the future. The event was also attended by officials from the Department of Women and Child Development, Higher Education Department, and the State Parliamentary Training Institute.

To offer participants a hands-on experience of democracy, a “Mini Assembly” was organized where young representatives played the roles of ministers and opposition leaders.
