CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal : In a remarkable act of selflessness, Mor Singh, a farmer from Piplodi village in Rajasthan’s Jhalawar district, has vacated his only home to provide space for a school after the original building collapsed, tragically claiming seven lives and injuring 21 students.

Despite having no formal education himself, Mor Singh was deeply moved by the tragedy and the urgent need for a learning space for the village children. He offered his house, which he had painstakingly built in 2011 using his daily wages, to serve as a temporary classroom. This gesture enabled the authorities to resume classes within just 10 days of the disaster.

Currently, Mor Singh and his family of eight are living in a makeshift shelter constructed from tarpaulin and plastic sheets on their farm. Despite the hardships, he remains optimistic, stating that this sacrifice is temporary and for the betterment of the children’s future.

His noble act has earned him the title of ‘Bhamasha’ (donor) from the Jhalawar Collector, Ajay Singh Rathod, who lauded his contribution to education in the community.
