More than 100 drafts written for Drishyam 3 climax, writer says

Screenwriter Aamil Keeyan Khan has made several interesting disclosures about the climax of Ajay Devgn’s film “Drishyam 3: The Conclusion”. He said he had prepared more than 100 drafts before the film’s story was finalised. Because fresh changes were made several times, he ended up with many files named “final”, “final 2” and “final final”. According to Aamil, the biggest challenge for the third film was to create a new story that would retain the original identity of the “Drishyam” franchise while giving audiences a fresh experience. Special attention was given to balancing family, emotions, humour, drama and thrill in the story.

The makers also maintained strict secrecy to prevent the film’s climax from being leaked. Aamil said most of the film’s actors and technical crew were not given full details of the climax. Different departments were given only as much information as was necessary for their part of the work. The writer also said his friends, relatives and some actors and staff associated with the film even tried to bribe him to learn the climax. However, he did not share the story with anyone and fulfilled his responsibility towards the makers. The film features Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Shriya Saran, Prakash Raj and Jaideep Ahlawat in key roles.
