CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: At the Dental Unit operated at the Community Health Center in Kolar, 634 patients have been treated for various dental problems. Among them, 6 patients received oral prophylaxis treatment and 4 patients underwent sharp cusp rounding. The Dental Unit is also conducting oral cancer screenings, with 112 people screened so far. The establishment of this unit provides residents of the Kolar area with free dental treatment services close to home.
Dr. Prabhakar Tiwari, Chief Medical and Health Officer of Bhopal, stated that the facilities for quality and free treatment of various dental problems are continually being expanded. To provide dental treatment services close to people’s residences, Dental Units have been started at the community health center level. In addition to the Community Health Center in Kolar, Dental Units are now also operational at the Community Health Centers in Gandhinagar and Berasia.
At the Kolar center, dentist Diwakar Mishra is conducting oral cancer screenings. All dental units operate from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM and during the evening OPD from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Upgrades to these dental units are planned to provide free services such as tooth extractions, temporary and permanent restorations, and root canal treatments (RCT).
