CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A one-day international conference on “Harnessing Artificial Intelligence for Drug Discovery and Design” was organized by the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV), Bhopal, as part of the MP Pride-2025 event. The conference took place in the university auditorium and was inaugurated by Naveen Seth, former Vice-Chancellor of GTU, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and Prof. Rajeev Tripathi, Vice-Chancellor of RGPV.
Providing details about the event, program coordinator and Director of the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, UTD RGPV, Prof. Deepti Jain, mentioned that the conference featured expert lectures by C. Karthikeyan (USA), Rajendra Badhane (Finland), and Prabhat Srivastava from Piramal Healthcare.
A total of 410 participants attended the conference, including faculty members, researchers, and students from pharmaceutical sciences, life sciences, and allied sciences, as well as representatives from research-based institutions, AYUSH departments, and the pharmaceutical industry.
The conference showcased 126 scientific papers, including 17 oral presentations and 109 research and review posters. Awards were presented for the best poster presentations (3 awards) and best oral sessions (2 awards). Dr. Suman Ramteke expressed gratitude to all participants and speakers during the closing session.
