CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, Labor Department, in collaboration with the Center for Research and Industrial Staff Performance (CRISP) and the Department of Technical Education, Madhya Pradesh, has set a new milestone through its pioneering institution, ‘Shramoday Model ITI.’ This institution, established to provide quality education and advanced facilities to children of poor and laborer families, has made history with its meritorious students. Particularly, three girls from the Civil Engineering trade have created a buzz across the state with their exceptional performance. Shramoday Model ITI offers education in eight trades.

In the State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT) examinations, 18 out of the top 25 students in the state are from Shramoday Model ITI. Furthermore, 6 out of the top 10 trainees in the state are also from this institution. This achievement is a testament to the institution’s excellent facilities, quality education, smart classrooms, high-standard meals, and outstanding residential arrangements.

These three girls have proven with their hard work and skills that with the right opportunities and resources, any student can turn their dreams into reality. Their success is not just about excelling in an exam but overcoming economic struggles and limited resources faced by their families.

Experience of Sneh Dhakad:

Sneh Dhakad, who secured the first rank in the state, hails from Shivpuri district in Madhya Pradesh. Her father works as a laborer in the mandi, and her mother is involved in cashew packaging. Sneh shared, “This institution provides high-quality education and excellent facilities – from good accommodation and food to smart classrooms and practical training aligned with industry needs. I aspire to excel in this field, secure a good job, and support my family.”

Experience of Karishma Malhotra:

Karishma Malhotra, a Civil Engineering student at Shramoday Model ITI, credited the institution’s teaching system for her success. She said, “Here, we are provided with good equipment and materials to learn as per industry requirements. Regular assignments, weekly and monthly tests by training officers ensure we leave no gaps in our preparation. My father is a laborer in Shivpuri, and I aim to become self-reliant and support my family with better education and a secure job.”

Experience of Ritu Kushwaha:

Ritu Kushwaha from Narmadapuram said, “Studying here is an enriching experience with access to a library, great teachers, and a positive environment. Our personality development is given as much attention as our academics. The facilities for food, sports, and education are exceptional, leaving no room for compromise. I feel proud to have been admitted here and to have topped. I wish to pursue higher education, secure a job in this field, and support my family financially.”

Top Performers: The first, second, and third ranks in the state were secured by the institution’s meritorious girls.

Labor, Panchayat, and Rural Development Minister Prahlad Patel lauded the institution, stating, “Shramoday Model ITI’s achievements are truly remarkable. On Republic Day, Mrs. Harshika Singh, Director of the Directorate of Skill Development, Madhya Pradesh, honored 18 students and 6 training officers at Govindpura ITI. She expressed her happiness, especially as a woman officer, noting that 6 out of the top 10 trainees are girls from Shramoday Model ITI. She encouraged interaction between training officers to share best practices across institutions.
