Ms. Shefali Sharan assumed the responsibilities of the Chief Executive Officer of the Information Office.

CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Ms. Shefali B. Sharan has assumed the position of Chief Executive Officer of the Information Office following the retirement of Mr. Manish Desai. Ms. Sharan is an officer of the 1990 batch of the Indian Information Service.

Over the course of her distinguished career spanning more than three decades, she has handled responsibilities related to media publicity for ministries such as Finance, Health and Family Welfare, and Information and Broadcasting, among others, in various capacities as an officer of the Information and Broadcasting Cadre. She has also served as the spokesperson for the Election Commission of India.

Additionally, she has worked on cadre posts of OSD (Information and Broadcasting Ministry, 2000-2002) and as Director in LS TV, Lok Sabha Secretariat (2007-2008), Administration and Finance. She has also served as Director under the Central Staffing Scheme in the Ministry of Health (Department of Traditional Medicine/Ayush Department, 2002-2007) and the Ministry of Finance (Department of Economic Affairs, 2013-2017).

Upon assuming the responsibility, Ms. Sharan was warmly welcomed by senior officials of the Information Office.
