CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Mumbai came alive with the chants of “Ganpati Bappa Morya” as devotees gathered in large numbers to seek the blessings of Lalbaugcha Raja during the Ganesh festival.
Thousands of devotees reached the iconic Lalbaugcha Raja pandal, creating a festive atmosphere across central Mumbai. Long queues were witnessed as devotees waited for their turn to have darshan of the revered Ganpati idol.
Given the massive turnout expected during the celebrations, elaborate security arrangements have been put in place across the city. Around 16,800 police personnel have been deployed to manage crowds, maintain law and order and ensure the smooth movement of devotees.
Security teams are also monitoring sensitive locations and crowded areas, while traffic management measures have been strengthened around major Ganesh festival venues. Authorities have appealed to devotees to follow instructions and cooperate with security personnel.
Lalbaugcha Raja remains one of Mumbai’s most prominent Ganesh idols and attracts devotees from across Maharashtra and other parts of the country. The annual celebrations are marked by grand decorations, religious ceremonies and huge public participation.
With chants of “Ganpati Bappa Morya” filling the streets, Mumbai has once again witnessed the vibrant combination of faith, tradition and community participation during the Ganesh festival.
