Four coaches have been given different responsibilities. Mumbai Indians have appointed Robin Uthappa as batting coach, Mitchell McClenaghan as bowling coach, T. Dilip as fielding coach and Dhawal Kulkarni as development bowling coach. All these appointments have been made under the leadership of head coach Kieron Pollard.
Former players return to the team. Robin Uthappa was part of the Indian team that won the 2007 T20 World Cup. He played for Mumbai Indians in the first IPL season in 2008. McClenaghan was also part of the Mumbai team between 2015 and 2020 and was involved in four title-winning campaigns. Dhawal Kulkarni has also won the IPL title twice while playing for Mumbai Indians. T. Dilip, meanwhile, has served in the coaching staff of the Indian men’s cricket team.
A new start under Pollard’s leadership. Mumbai Indians had recently appointed Kieron Pollard as head coach. After this, the team decided to part ways with bowling coaches Lasith Malinga and Paras Mhambrey, and fielding coach Carl Hopkinson. The franchise has now begun preparing for IPL 2027 with the new coaching group.
