Murasu storm may change weather, yellow alert issued in nine districts

The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for nine districts. According to the forecast, rain may occur in several districts by November 3 and 4. Strong winds are also feared during this period.

Due to this change in the weather, cloudy conditions and increased rainfall activity are likely in many areas. Rain accompanied by strong winds may affect normal life. People need to remain alert, especially in open places, fields and while travelling.

In view of the Meteorological Department’s alert, people are advised to keep an eye on local weather updates. Farmers also need to plan harvesting, storage of produce and other agricultural work keeping the weather conditions in mind.
