Pop star Taylor Swift’s new album ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ has been successful, achieving new milestones since its release on April 19.
AR Rahman took to his X account to extend wishes to Swift. He tweeted, “All the best, @taylorswift13, for your latest album, #THETORTUEDPOETSDEPARTMENT.”
He also posted the link to his song on the Spotify app. Her new song has become the most streamed song on the Spotify app in just five days of its release. ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ is Swift’s 11th album.
The album became the first in Spotify’s history to reach over 300 million streams in a single day. A day prior to its release on April 18, 2024, ‘Poets’ became the most pre-saved album in Spotify history
She had also shared a series of pictures on Instagram with a long caption that read, “The Tortured Poets Department. An anthology of new works that reflect events, opinions, and sentiments from a fleeting and fatalistic moment in time—one that was both sensational and sorrowful in equal measure. This period of the author’s life is now over; the chapter is closed and boarded up. There is nothing to avenge; there are no scores to settle once wounds have healed. And upon further reflection, a good number of them turned out to be self-inflicted. This writer is of the firm belief that our tears become holy in the form of ink on a page. Once we have told our saddest story, we can be free of it. And then all that’s left behind is the tortured poetry.

Fans couldn’t keep calm, and they also asked for a collaboration between Rahman and Swift.
Though that collaboration is not on right now, Rahman is going to collaborate with Hans Zimmer on Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’.
