CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A successful three-day residential training program was organized at Rabindranath Tagore University for the directors, CEOs, and accountants of Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), funded by NABARD and in collaboration with Swami Vivekananda Shiksha Samiti (S.V.S.S.), Bhopal. This program was conducted under a “Memorandum of Understanding” with technical guidance and support provided by the Agriculture Faculty of R.N.T.U.

The program was inaugurated by the Dean of the Agriculture Faculty, Prof. H.D. Verma, who delivered the welcome address highlighting the role of Indian agriculture and the importance of FPOs and NGOs. The chief guest, Vice-Chancellor R.P. Dubey, shared his views on “Food Security in India” and discussed international agricultural technologies and the changing environmental landscape in detail.

The program was conducted by Dr. Rishikesh Mandloi, Assistant Professor of the Agriculture Faculty, while Mr. Jayant Day, Director of S.V.S.S., provided detailed information about the formation of FPOs and their current significance. On the first day, technical sessions included training on FPO accounting in Tally by Asim Srivastava, sessions on audit, profit, and taxation by CA Abhijeet Raghuvanshi, and a lecture on ROC annual compliance by Jayant Day. On the second day, Ms. Preeti Dhurve trained participants on the MIS portal, Rajendra Singh Gehlot spoke on the Business Plan 2025-26, Ashok Kumar Verma discussed sustainable agricultural practices, Dr. Dhirendra Singh talked about crop residue management, and Manoj Kumar provided training on the organic certification process.

On the third day, Akshat Shukla from R.N.T.U.’s admission cell highlighted the university’s admission process and achievements. After this, all participants toured the Polyhouse, Crop Cafeteria, Food Processing Center, Custom Hiring Center, and the AIC-RNTU Foundation (Incubation Center). At the conclusion of the program, S.V.S.S. Director Sujoy Aich expressed gratitude to all participants, trainers, and the organizing team. This training program proved to be an important step in empowering FPO professionals with the latest technical knowledge and management skills.

At the closing ceremony, Sujoy Aich, Director of S.V.S.S., thanked all participants, trainers, and support staff. The training program was a meaningful initiative to enhance technical knowledge and management skills for FPO directors and professionals connected to the agriculture sector.
