In 2022, when he reached Joshimath and the Niti Valley in Chamoli for the shooting of a Marathi film, he was deeply impressed by the beauty of the mountains, the peaceful atmosphere and the simple nature of the local people.

During conversations with local residents, Nana expressed his desire to buy land there in the future, live in the area and build a house. He spent about nine days in the Joshimath region and, during this period, shot in areas including the Niti Valley, Tapovan and Lata.

During the shoot, he also gathered information about the local lifestyle, food, weather and nearby pilgrimage and tourist destinations. He also met Army personnel and spoke with them. Later, during a meeting in Dehradun with then Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, he again expressed his wish to build a home in Uttarakhand.

Nana’s visit to Uttarakhand was not limited to shooting. In Rishikesh, he took part in the Ganga Aarti at Parmarth Niketan and had said that after the aarti he felt a change within himself.
