CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Hemant Workshop on “Natankush and Abhinay Darpan” concluded at the Central Sanskrit University, Bhopal Campus. The workshop witnessed the participation of 50 individuals from various states, including Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Delhi, and Madhya Pradesh.

The workshop was inaugurated at Bhavabhuti Auditorium, where Kathak dancer and senior guru Alpana Vajpayee addressed the participants, emphasizing the need for coordination between acting and dance. She also discussed the significance of Natya Shastra and Bharatanatyam.

In the closing session, Campus Director Ramakant Pandey expressed gratitude to the participants and experts. He highlighted the importance of studying Natankush and Abhinay Darpan, calling them ideal texts for theater.

Various experts familiarized the participants with the practical and theoretical aspects of drama and acting. Dance training included traditional art forms like Kathak and Kalaripayattu. Key attractions were the solo performance “Shart,” Kathakali dance, and flute recital.

Workshop convenor Sanandan Kumar Tripathi and Co-Director Neelabh Tiwari described the event as highly beneficial for students. Participants suggested extending the duration of such workshops. The event concluded with certificate distribution and the chanting of the welfare mantra.
