CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Winter Workshop Inaugurated at Central Sanskrit University, Bhopal Campus

A Winter Workshop on the topics “Natankusha” and “Abhinayadarpana” is being conducted at the Central Sanskrit University, Bhopal Campus, from December 21 to December 24, 2024. The event was inaugurated at the campus’s Bhavabhuti Auditorium, with Dr. Radhavallabh Tripathi, former Vice-Chancellor of the National Sanskrit Institute, New Delhi, gracing the occasion as the chief guest.

Dr. Tripathi delivered an extensive discussion on “Natankusha” and “Abhinayadarpana,” emphasizing the universality of “Natankusha” as a classical text. He encouraged participants to explore works such as “Ashcharya Chudamani” and “Abhigyan Shakuntalam” for a deeper understanding. He also highlighted the significant transformation in Sanskrit dramas post the 9th and 10th centuries.

Dr. Tripathi will guide participants through insightful sessions daily from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM for four days. Presiding over the event, Campus Director Dr. Ramakant Pandey shed light on the significance of the workshop and emphasized that this is the first-ever workshop in India focusing on the esteemed text “Natankusha.”

The workshop coordinator, Sanandan Kumar Tripathi, delivered the introductory speech, while Associate Director Neelabh Tiwari extended a formal welcome to the guests and participants. Sangeeta Gundecha gave the vote of thanks, and Shitanshu Tripathi managed the event proceedings.

The inaugural session concluded with the chanting of the “Kalyan Mantra.” Faculty members and all participants of the workshop were present during the event.
