CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The National Art Festival at Shyamla Hills Regional College, Bhopal, was inaugurated by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. This annual festival brings together renowned artists and art enthusiasts from across the country. At the inauguration ceremony, the Chief Minister emphasized that art and culture are the soul of society and highlighted the importance of such events in fostering creativity and preserving cultural heritage.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav inaugurated the festival by lighting the lamp and visiting the craft exhibition. Encouraging students and artists, he stated, “Art is a medium of expression and identity for our society. It serves as a unique way to connect the younger generation with their cultural roots.”
The three-day festival features competitions and exhibitions across various art forms, including painting, sculpture, dance, music, and theater. Artists from over 20 states are participating. The inaugural ceremony’s highlight was the performance of classical dance and music.
The college principal, Rekha Sharma, shared that the primary objective of the National Art Festival is to ignite interest in art among the new generation and provide them with a national platform. She expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for being part of the event.
Several senior officials, academicians, and local dignitaries were present at the occasion. The Chief Minister underscored the festival’s significance as a vital step toward elevating the state’s art and culture to new heights.
The event will conclude on the upcoming Sunday with an awards ceremony and a cultural evening.
