CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A national conference on sustainable lifestyles and climate-responsive building design and planning will be held at the School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), Bhopal, on November 7 and 8, 2024. The aim of the conference is to explore various concepts of climate-responsive building design and planning (HARIT – Holistic Action for Rejuvenating Indigenous Traditions) for Indian cities and villages. The conference will bring together various government organizations, institutions, consultants, and stakeholders to share their insights on Indian traditional design and planning.

This two-day national conference will cover discussions on six thematic areas: 1) Climate-responsive building and urban planning, 2) Conservation of natural resources and traditional concepts, 3) Environmental psychology and sustainable development, 4) Creating a healthy environment, 5) Innovation and technology, and 6) Challenges in the context of traditional building materials and craftsmanship. The panel will feature distinguished speakers from government, non-governmental organizations, and various institutions working on the HARIT concept.
