CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Kushagra Singh Rajawat Wins Gold and Silver; Gauranshi Sharma Bags Bronze in National Deaf Championship 2025
The 2nd National Deaf Shooting, Table Tennis, and Tennis Championship 2025 was held in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. In this prestigious event, Kushagra Singh Rajawat, an athlete from Madhya Pradesh State Shooting Academy, Bhopal, delivered an outstanding performance by winning two medals – one gold and one silver.
At the championship held in Ahmedabad, Kushagra showcased excellence in Rifle Shooting, securing the Gold Medal in the 50m Rifle 3 Position event and a Silver Medal in the 50m Rifle Prone event, bringing home a total of two medals.
It is noteworthy that Kushagra Singh Rajawat is currently training under the guidance of Chief Coach Mr. Joydeep Karmakar and Assistant Coach Mr. Vaibhav Sharma at the Shooting Academy.
In the same championship, Gauranshi Sharma, a badminton player from the Sports Academy, earned a Bronze Medal in the Women’s Singles Badminton Event.
In the badminton segment of the competition, the Gold Medal went to Tamil Nadu, the Silver to Uttar Pradesh, and the second Bronze Medal was secured by Punjab.
Sports Minister Dr. Vishwas Kailash Sarang congratulated both medal winners, Kushagra Singh Rajawat and Gauranshi Sharma, appreciating their exceptional performances in the 2nd National Deaf Shooting and Badminton Championship 2025.
