CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The grand ceremony of the 72nd National Film Awards will be held today, September 22, at Ekta Nagar, Kevadia, in Gujarat. President Droupadi Murmu will honour the winners selected for the year 2024 at the ceremony. The National Film Awards ceremony is being held outside Delhi for the first time, in Gujarat.
This year, Kartik Aaryan will receive the Best Actor award for the film Chandu Champion. Along with him, Malayalam actor Mammootty will also be honoured in the same category for Bramayugam. Yami Gautam will receive the Best Actress award for her performance in Article 370.
Article 370 has been selected as the Best Feature Film. Randeep Hooda will receive the Best Debut Director award for Swatantrya Veer Savarkar. Several films and artistes, including Kalki 2898 AD, Amaran, Pushpa: The Rule Part-2 and Stree 2, will be honoured in different categories.
Veteran actor Anant Nag will also be presented with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for 2024 at the ceremony. The event will begin at 3 pm and will be telecast live on DD National and its official YouTube channel.
