CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: On Friday, the National Health Mission, Madhya Pradesh organized a one-day state-level review-cum-orientation workshop under the Comprehensive Primary Health Care (CPHC) program. The objective of the workshop was to strengthen primary health services through Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, review key program indicators, and enhance monitoring, supervision, and quality improvement.
The workshop witnessed significant and technical participation from a national-level team from Delhi, with the presence of Dr. G. B. Singh, Chief Advisor, NHSRC, New Delhi, being particularly noteworthy. Dr. Singh provided detailed guidance on the expectations of the Government of India under Comprehensive Primary Health Care, national priorities, and the SDG-based approach to primary health care. His technical guidance gave a new direction to improving the functionality of Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, the quality of service delivery, and systemic strengthening in the state.
Under the workshop, an in-depth review was conducted on important aspects such as the functioning of Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, progress of the 12 service packages, expanded services, availability of medicines and diagnostics, the digital reporting system, NCD screening, integration of TB services, maternal and child health services, and the progress of NQAS certification. In addition, through sessions on supportive supervision, gap-filling strategies, and capacity building, special emphasis was placed on the effective implementation of Comprehensive Primary Health Care at the field level.
The workshop proved to be a significant initiative in strengthening coordination between state and national teams, providing technical guidance, and advancing the achievement of Comprehensive Primary Health Care goals in Madhya Pradesh.
