CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Faculty of Pharmacy at Bhabha University celebrated the grand closing ceremony of National Pharmacy Week 2024. This year’s theme, “Think Health, Think Pharmacy,” highlighted the crucial role of pharmacy in healthcare.
The chief guest of the event was Dr. Dilip Dey, Vice-Chancellor of Bhabha University. In his address, Dr. Dey emphasized the invaluable contribution of pharmacists to healthcare and inspired attendees to continue innovating in this noble profession.
The program commenced with a welcome speech by Prof. Shailesh Kumar Ghatuauri, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, who appreciated the dedication of the students, faculty members, and the organizing committee.
In his speech, Dr. Dilip Dey remarked, “National Pharmacy Week is a reminder of the vital role pharmacists play in healthcare. We must continue to innovate.”
The event was graced by the presence of esteemed guests, including Prasad Pillai (CEO, Bhabha University), N.K. Agrawal (Pro-Vice Chancellor), Shyam Patkar (Registrar), Manoj Shukla (Group Director), Satkar Prasad (Principal, RKDFSCOPE), and O.P. Agrawal (Principal, BPRI).
Deans and principals from other departments also shared their valuable insights. The week-long celebration featured activities such as awareness rallies, workshops, indoor and outdoor games, and seminars, aimed at promoting the pharmacy profession and its impact on healthcare.
A highlight of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with “The Kabadiwala” to promote environmental conservation activities. This partnership reinforces the university’s commitment to sustainability and waste management practices.
The evening was brought to life with captivating cultural performances by students, followed by a certificate distribution ceremony to honor the winners and participants of various competitions held throughout the week.
The program was skillfully anchored by Nikita Jain and Riya Patel, who kept the audience engaged and energized throughout the event. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Manoj Sahu, who expressed gratitude to the chief guest, distinguished guests, faculty members, students, and the organizing committee for their exceptional support and efforts.
