CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: During his maritime journey, Pawan Khera, the National President of the Media and Publications Department of the All India Congress Committee, paid homage by offering floral tributes at the memorial of the great philanthropist Sir Harisingh Gaur, located at the University, expressing gratitude for his illumination of knowledge in the maritime region. He also paid homage at the memorial of the first Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Pandit Ravi Shankar Shukla.
During this time, a large number of Congress members were present, including the City District Congress President Rajkumar Pachauri, Rural President Anand Ahirwar, State Congress Spokesperson Bhupendra Gupta, State Spokesperson Avneesh Singh Bundela, Sandeep Sablok, Bhupendra Muhassa, Abhishek Gaur, Avdhesh Tomar, Ankaleshwar Dubey, Shailendra Tomar, Shahrukh Khan, and many others.
Pawan Khera, the National Media Chairman of Congress, visited the entire university campus, viewed the Jawaharlal Nehru Library Building, and admired the remarkable work of the University. Describing Gaur’s legacy as an invaluable heritage of society and the nation, he criticized the Modi government for the decline in education standards due to corruption, scandals, administrative arbitrariness, and authoritarianism prevalent in recruitment, appointments, and construction activities. He emphasized that it is our responsibility to preserve the glory of this temple of education, in line with Dr. Gaur’s sentiments.
