Barkatullah University hosted a grand celebration of National Science Day under the theme: “Empowering Indian Youth for Global Leadership in Science and Innovation for a Developed India.” The event was jointly organized by six departments of the university that have been recognized as Centers of Excellence.

The program commenced with a welcome address by Vinisha Singh, the event coordinator from the Geology Department, who extended her gratitude to all experts, participants, and guests. She highlighted the significance of National Science Day and encouraged Indian youth to lead in science, technology, and innovation on a global scale.

Inauguration & Address by University Officials

The inaugural session began with the worship of Goddess Saraswati, led by Vice-Chancellor Suresh Kumar Jain and other dignitaries. Addressing the gathering, the Vice-Chancellor urged students and faculty to continuously seek knowledge, engage in research and innovation, and utilize their time wisely to achieve their life goals.

Technical Sessions & Expert Talks

The chief guest of the technical session, N.K. Chaubey, Senior Principal Scientist from Madhya Pradesh Council of Science & Technology, elaborated on trademarks, industrial design, and physical identification. He also encouraged students to patent even the smallest innovations to protect intellectual property.

Additionally, Dr. Kavita Rawat presented insights on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its growing impact in the field of science and technology.

The convener of the event, Dean Sadhna Singh, emphasized the importance of science subjects under the National Education Policy (NEP). The session concluded with Madhu Sarvan expressing gratitude to all attendees.

Active Participation & Competitions

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from senior faculty members, including Ragini Gothalwal, N.K. Gaur, Vivek Sharma, Anshuja Tiwari, Garg, Anita Tilwari, Rekha Khandiya, and Jamod, along with faculty members from various departments.

A total of 137 participants showcased their creativity in the Poster and Model Making Competitions, displaying innovative scientific ideas. The winners of these competitions were honored with first, second, and third prizes, while all 137 participants received certificates of participation.

The event successfully fostered a spirit of scientific inquiry, encouraging students to explore research and innovation, in alignment with the vision of empowering Indian youth for global scientific leadership.
