CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A prestigious program was organized at JNCT Professional University, Bhopal, on the occasion of National Science Day, sponsored by the Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology, where experts shared their insights on important topics related to science and research.
The chief guest, Vijay Kumar, former scientist and ex-director of Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, highlighted the significance of the Raman Effect, explaining that this discovery by the great Indian scientist C. V. Raman was a landmark achievement that established India’s presence in the global scientific community.
During the event, Anil Prakash, retired professor and head of department at Barkatullah University, emphasized that science is not limited to laboratories but is connected to every aspect of daily life. Using various examples, he illustrated how science makes our everyday activities simpler and more effective.
Another speaker, Prashant V. Baredar, professor at Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, discussed the role of research and innovation in building a developed India 2047 and the roadmap for inclusive growth. He stated that promoting innovation, research, and technological development is essential to transform India into a developed nation.
On this occasion, Vice-Chancellor Govind Bhargava and Registrar Mohit Pandya were also present and motivated students to advance in the fields of science and research. Poonam Chouksey, chairperson of the institute, appreciated the program and said that such initiatives play a vital role in cultivating scientific thinking and fostering innovation among students.
The program was coordinated by Anamika Saxena, who welcomed all the dignitaries, while Rishu Upadhyay played a key role in the successful execution of the event. During the program, students who excelled in various science-related competitions were awarded and honored.
The event was attended by all principals, faculty members, researchers, and a large number of students. The primary objective of the program was to increase interest in science among youth and encourage a spirit of research and innovation.
