CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A two-day national seminar on the theme “Technical Terminology and Teaching in Indian Languages” was organized on Friday at the Pandit Sunderlal Sharma Central Institute of Vocational Education, Bhopal, under the joint aegis of the Commission for Scientific and Technical Terminology, New Delhi, under the Department of Higher Education of the Government of India, and Atal Bihari Vajpayee Hindi University, Bhopal.
In the inaugural ceremony, the chief guest, Govardhan Das, Director of the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, emphasized the need to revive India’s ancient educational systems. He mentioned the importance of continuing the knowledge traditions of ancient universities like Nalanda.
Special guest Girish Nath Jha stressed the use of scientific and technical terminology in education, stating that acquiring knowledge in one’s native language is easier.
Presiding over the program, Professor Khem Singh Daheeriya, Vice-Chancellor of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Hindi University, mentioned that education in medicine and engineering has already started in Hindi, and there is a need to simplify the translation process.
The keynote speaker, Dinesh Chandra Chamola, shared his thoughts on the “Application of Technical Terminology in Hindi Scientific Writing,” emphasizing the experimental nature of language.
On this occasion, various university officials, professors, students, and researchers gathered to discuss the subject matter of the seminar.
