CNN Central News & Network – ITDC India E-Press / ITDC News Bhopal:Under the directive of the 4th Madhya Pradesh Girls Battalion NCC Bhopal and the guidance of Principal Deepti Srivastava of Sarojini Naidu Government Girls Postgraduate Autonomous College, Bhopal, a special educational excursion was organized on the theme “Development and Heritage.” A total of 34 NCC cadets from the college participated in the program.

During the visit, cadets explored prominent heritage sites in Bhopal including Gauhar Mahal, Moti Mahal, and Iqbal Maidan. Principal Srivastava briefed the cadets on the historical significance, architectural features, and current preservation efforts and utilization of these sites. She highlighted that Gauhar Mahal has become a hub for national and state-level handicraft fairs, serving not only to keep heritage alive but also to provide a platform for local artisans.

Sergeant Muskan Sahu and Cadet Janhavi shared additional insights on other historical monuments, spreading awareness among the participants. At the end of the tour, cadets expressed their thoughts on heritage preservation and pledged active participation in conserving historical assets.

The program was successfully coordinated and conducted under the supervision of NCC caretaker Neha Chaudhary. This initiative served as a significant step in connecting the youth with their cultural heritage.
