📍 New Delhi: The three-day World Urdu Conference, organized by the National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language (NCPUL) under the theme “Viksit Bharat ka Vision, Urdu Bhasha Mission”, concluded successfully at India International Centre on Sunday.

📌 Key Highlights of the Conference:

Urdu’s Contribution to Cultural and Social Development: Experts emphasized Urdu’s role in preserving India’s cultural diversity and linguistic heritage.
Artificial Intelligence in Urdu Promotion: Discussions on using AI and machine translation to expand Urdu’s reach.
Bridging the Gap Between Indian Languages: The importance of translating Urdu literature into other Indian languages and vice versa was stressed.
Cultural Programs: The conference featured poetry sessions, musical performances, and Sufi Qawwali, showcasing Urdu’s rich literary and artistic traditions.

Speaking at the closing session, Prof. Ghazanfar lauded the event as a major success, stating that it brought forward valuable discussions on Urdu education, script preservation, and its overall development.

NCPUL Director Dr. Shams Iqbal highlighted Urdu’s adaptability to modern needs, urging intellectuals to contribute to its growth. He reassured that Urdu’s future remains strong, with endless possibilities for expansion. Dr. Iqbal also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Ministry of Education for their continuous support.

The final sessions explored Urdu’s role in social, cultural, and political narratives, AI-driven publishing, and enhancing communication among Non-Resident Indians (NRIs). A grand Sufi evening featuring Nizami Brothers at the India Islamic Cultural Centre concluded the event.
