CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The CBI team, investigating the alleged irregularities in the medical entrance test NEET, will interrogate the principal of a school in Jharkhand in connection with the question paper leak on Thursday too. Oasis School principal Dr Ehsanul Haque was the district coordinator of the NEET-UG exam in Hazaribag district.

The 12-member CBI team, which reached Hazaribag on Tuesday evening,  took Haque to a Charhi-based guest house in Hazaribag where he and a few other persons were reportedly quizzed till late evening on Wednesday. The CBI team was seen with Haque on Thursday too.

Though the investigation team did not divulge details, Haque denied reports of tampering with question papers and termed the allegations as baseless. A three-member probe team of the Economic Offences Unit (EOU) of Bihar Police had earlier visited the school and inquired about the conduct of the test and the mechanism to open digital locks of question paper boxes.

The team also visited the main branch of the State Bank of India (SBI) in the district, as the manager of the bank was reportedly the custodian of the question papers. The bank had reportedly received the question papers sent by a courier service operator in an e-rickshaw, PTI quoted sources as saying.

Meanwhile, a special CBI court in Patna sent two persons accused of leaking NEET-UG question paper to three-day CBI custody. The two alleged ‘exam mafias’ — Mukesh Kumar and Chintu — are facing charges of leaking the question paper for NEET-UG conducted on May 5. A probe conducted by the EOU of the Bihar Police revealed that Chintu received the question paper on his mobile phone.
