CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: In the third round of NEET UG 2026 counselling, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has added 183 new MBBS and BDS seats for candidates. The seats have been increased in medical and dental institutions located in Maharashtra, Puducherry, Tripura, Uttarakhand and Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu.
According to the state-wise seat position, Maharashtra has received the highest addition of 115 seats. These include 15 MBBS seats at Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Government Medical College, Ahilyanagar, and 100 BDS seats at Datta Meghe Dental College, Nagpur. In Puducherry, 50 MBBS seats have been added at Vinayaka Missions Medical College, Karaikal.
In Tripura, 8 MBBS seats have been added at Agartala Government Medical College, while 7 MBBS seats have been added at Late Jagjivan Ram Government Medical College, Pithoragarh, in Uttarakhand, and 3 MBBS seats at Namo Medical Education and Research Institute in Silvassa.
The MCC’s third-round seat matrix gives details of available seats in MBBS, BDS and other courses. The third-round seat allotment result is scheduled to be released on September 30, 2026. Candidates can check the seat matrix and counselling-related information on the official MCC website.
